Love's best
Kevin Love played all 20 minutes in the second half of the game against Western Kentucky. He said he's prepared to play 40 against Memphis if that's what UCLA needs.
``He's tough, hard-nosed and a good defender,'' Ben Howland said. ``He's probably in the best condition of his life. He played 20 straight minutes against Western Kentucky, and he was getting beat up. It's physical down there.''
Love agreed that he's in the best shape of his life, which is why he said he's prepared to play every minute.
Keeping fouls in mind, we could have 4 of the starters play the whole game, as DC, Russell and Josh are also in top shape. I would rather have breaks and the burst of energy and D that Keefe, Alfred and Lorenzo bring to the game though, esp. given that Memphis runs 9 guys in and out regularly. Kudos to Kevin who was not in shape earlier in the season to play 30 minutes (I think he only had 28 against Texas).
