No Wooden Love?

| | Comments (1) |

With UCLA freshman Kevin Love scheduled to be in Oregon with his family through the weekend, it appears he will not be attending the ceremony for the John R. Wooden Award, which is Friday in Los Angeles.
Love had previously scheduled family obligations before he was named one of five finalists for the award last month. The Wooden Award folks were trying to make last-minute arrangements for Love to attend, but it is unlikely to happen, I am told.

Brian,

Isn't there a conflict between CJW and the people putting on the Wooden Award? I seem to remember he asked for his name to removed from the award and they refused.

If this is the case, maybe Love isn't attending because of that?

I may have my stories mixed up, but I seem to remember something like that occurring.
