Post-practice quickies

QB Patrick Cowan didn't practice Tuesday after tweaking his left knee late in Monday's practice, but he said an MRI was fine and he anticipated being back out on the practice field Thursday.
When Cowan out, Ben Olson took the majority of the reps with the first-team offense and Kevin Craft and Chris Forcier also had increased reps, but Osaar Rasshan did not take any reps.
Also, the defense had another dominating day, but the offense ended the day during an "overtime" session with a short touchdown plunge by Chane Moline.

Well, I guess that explains the lack of interest on the ucla football blog. Most bruin fans, by poll, expect their team to have a losing record. Then I guess I won't show much interest either.

Good luck.

Mikeh,

At least it's only in April not in October and this season we'll have depth at QB position unlike last year. 3 QBs with starting experiences and 1 Juco transfer are good enough when their numbers are called. I would sweat it if any of the OL went down. *knock on wood.

Not a good sign for Cowan. Unfortunately, he seems to have a black cloud hovering over him. Olson might get the start by default. Hopefully, the injury isn't as bad as one might think after sustaining a "tweak" and needing an MRI to check it out. Either that or UCLA just wants to keep the MRI facility is business.

OOT,

BTW, contrary to your statement 84% of pollers said UCLA would win 6 or more.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
