Spring Football: Day 5 quick hits

| | Comments (0) |

UCLA had a little mini scrimmage at the end of practice today and .... uh... the defense looked good. That's the bright side. Reggie Carter, Brian Price, Akeem Ayers and both Bosworth brothers looked really good.

The offense was still ``swimming,'' to quote Rick Neuheisel.

The only touchdown drive was led by Osaar Rasshan, who could be out of the running if Neuheisel and Chow stick to their plan of thinning the field by Thursday.

One interesting note though. Patrick Cowan and Kevin Craft did seem to be getting a lot of reps today, at the expense of Ben Olson. Not by much, and sometimes these things just happen that way, but it was noticeable.

Bright spots for the offense Tuesday? Well, not much. But RB Christian Ramirez continues to impress.
