Brehaut’s excitement

Los Osos of Rancho Cucamonga quarterback Richard Brehaut said he’s been a long-time UCLA fan, so the minute he received a scholarship offer, he was going to take it.
“I’m beyond excited, I’m so pumped up,” Brehaut said. “A lot of my friends and family were always for USC, and I don’t know, I just grew a love for UCLA and it’s been there ever since. It’s been since like third or fourth grade.”
A big moment in the recruitment came when Brehaut threw in front of UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow last week.
“I was really excited to have the opportunity to throw in front of him, and he was one of the last guys to come out so I threw for a lot of schools beforehand,” Brehaut said. “I kind of knew the format. Yeah, it was coach Chow, and a great coach, coming out to see me, but I knew what to expect. It’s exciting, but I wasn’t very nervous.”
