UCLA baseball in the NCAAs

UCLA’s baseball team finished the season winning six of eight, including Pacific-10 series wins against Washington State and Cal, to reach the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins are the No. 2 seed in the Fullerton Regional.
Here is the release from UCLA:

The UCLA baseball team has captured a No. 2 seed at the NCAA Tournament’s Fullerton Regional, earning its third consecutive postseason berth for the first time in school history.
The Bruins (31-25) will face No. 3 seed (38-21) Virginia at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 30 at Cal State Fullerton’s Goodwin Field. UCLA finished third in the Pac-10 Conference with a 13-11 mark. The Cavaliers posted a fourth-place finish in the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Coastal Division with a 15-15 conference record.
No. 1 seed Cal State Fullerton (37-19) will face No. 4 seed Rider (29-26), who won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title, in the other regional-opening contest on Friday.
All games at the Fullerton Regional will be televised live by ESPNU.
UCLA has never played Virginia or Rider in its 88-year baseball history. The Bruins lost each of three games to Cal State Fullerton in mid-week action earlier this season. UCLA played 26 games during the regular season against teams which have advanced to the NCAA Tournament (10-16 record).
The Bruins will make their 15th appearance in an NCAA Regional and have earned their fourth postseason berth in the last five years. Last season, UCLA swept the Long Beach State Regional before dropping both games at the Fullerton Super Regional.
Five teams from the Pac-10 Conference earned berths in the 2008 NCAA Tournament, including UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, California and Stanford.
