Selden, DiSalvatore Named First-Team All-Americans, Kamekona, Langenfeld Earn Third-Team Honors

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Senior Anjelica Selden and freshman Gionna
DiSalvatore were named first-team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Americans while junior Amanda Kamekona and sophomore Megan Langenfeld both earned
third-team accolades.
The four All-American awards for the Bruins are the most since 2003.
UCLA has now earned 92 All-American awards.
Selden becomes the 13th Bruin to earn at least a pair of first-team
honors (Selden named first team in 2006) and the 16th Bruin to receive at
least three All-American awards.
The honors for DiSalvatore, Kamekona and Langenfeld are the first for
all three. DiSalvatore’s award marks the first time since 2001 that a
UCLA freshman has been named first-team All-American (Natasha Watley).
The Bruins begin play at the Women’s College World Series on Thursday
against Arizona at 6 p.m. PT. The game will be aired live on ESPN and
Gametracker will be available on UCLABruins.com.
