Night Owl special
For those of you that love the night time, or the early morning, here is a bonus post on a preview of what will be in Friday's paper.
Not that it is a surprise, but Josh Shipp's mother, Debbie, told me tonight her son will soon announce he is returning to UCLA for his senior season.
"He's still chasing that national title,'' she said. "In the next day or so he'll say something.''
Thanks for the night owl special. Hopefully Josh can raise his stock a bit this last year by developing a consistent jumper.
that's great news. we'll need some senior leadership on the team. plus, who wouldn't wanted to stay in westwood for their final year? i know i wish i could again.

Man, think of the intrasquad scrimmage UCLA can have next year? Okay, the vets would kill the freshmen, but for how long?

Perhaps when Shipp found out he would not be chasing down as many dollars in the NBA as he had first envisioned, he decided ucla was not a bad second choice.
Besides, he was picking a bad time to come out after his less than sparkling second half last year. The kid can shoot; all he has to do is prove he can do it over the course of a full season, and then the millions will follow.
