Report: Morgan asks for release

J'Mison Morgan, who signed a letter-of-intent with LSU, has reportedly asked for his release from the school. The rumors were swirling about the center today, but I couldn't confirm anything. I talked to AAU coach Jazzy Hartwell before he had a meeting with Morgan and his mom tonight, but he said at that point he didn't know what was going to happen.

The news has been spreading like wildfire for the past 20 hours now!!
:):D, and from Morgan's mouth he wants the UCLA exposure. So what's on Hartwell's mind that he says he doesn't know for sure...trying to redirect J'mison?

There is mirth in bruin nation.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
