Bell's health

| | Comments (1) |

UCLA running back Kahlil Bell, who had ACL surgery in December, told me two months ago he would be back for August training camp, and Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel is saying the same thing.
"I'm told by everybody he will be (ready), and I'm going to proceed as if that is the case," Neuheisel said. "I know he's working hard and he's looking very confident. And I don't have anybody telling me I have to be worried about it."

I for one am glad to hear this. As I remember Bell is a bread and butter, get the needed yards, type runner. Lets face it the Bruins are not going to have any passing game unless they have a good running game. If they can give Olsen just some time he has a good arm - Norm Chow is his coach and I for one see no reason to assume he will be injured. I am anxious to see RB Raymond Carter. But I would not be surprised if Antone Dean gets playing time as the Bruins make good on the run. At least in tapes Dean has great moves and is exiting to watch. I hope he plays so I do not have to wait a year to see him. I say if we have a good running game we have a good season - six wins. More would be great!
