Big-time visitor

UCLA will have a big-time visitor on campus Saturday when Jelani Jenkins, arguably the top linebacker in the nation, stops by. Jenkins is from Our Lady of Good Counsel of Wheaton, Maryland.
He is in town visiting USC today, and is scheduled to visit Stanford on Sunday. UCLA is hosting its one-day camp Saturday, but I'm not sure if he will participate in the camp.

That is going to be a hard sell for both the Bruins and the Trees. Yes we have DWalk and immediate playing time, but across town you have Ken Norton, Jr. as position coach, and a proven record/history of big time LBs in recent history (Keith Rivers, Oscar Lua, Startz, Rey Rey) and also going back in time to Junior Seau (1988-89), Willie McGinest (1990-93) and Chris Claiborne (1996-98).

That said, its good to see that the Bruins are at least in the conversation now.

hopefully Neuheisel and Walker can make the magic happen and get Jenkins. we're still experiencing Karl's curse of not hiring Norton.
