Breazell update

| | Comments (13) |

Brandon Breazell's shot with the Kansas City Chiefs didn't last very long, I was told. In fact, he didn't even make it to the practice field.
Instead, he arrive for rookie mini-camp with the Chiefs last month, and was cut before the first practice because of a shoulder issue.

Two things:

1. Don't hate on a UCLA player trying to make the NFL.
2. Dorrell was and is a 100% class act. Anyone that has interaction with him agrees.

Go Bruins!

VB,

Listen to Bailey. Why are you gonna dog on a player trying to make the NFL? I hope some other team gives Breazell a shot. He was a solid player and seemed like a good guy.

VB said:

Okay, first of all, please show me where I "dogged" or "hated on" a player. I was criticizing Dorrell and his staff for not having his players in optimum shape and, consequently, the fact half our team was continually injured because of that.

Secondly, while I agree that Dorrell was a 100% class act, what does that have to do with football? He was a horrible coach. I never criticized Dorrell as a person, and you cannot deny that he was a horrible footabll coach who took our program to the pits. I don't care if the Pope is coaching our team, I pay thousands of dollars year in and year out for my season seats and I don't wanna spend money to watch a team that is coached by a dazed and confused wide receiver's coach masquerading as a head coach.

GO NEUCHOWALKER! BRING BALANCE TO FORCE!

Its now Dorrell's fault that his player's got hurt? I'm no fan of Karl Dorrell the coach but you've got some issues if you think the injuries were somehow his fault. This is football. People get hurt.

One thing about Breazell is toughness, playing every game last season with the injuries he had ... all those root canals. That's the type of player I would love to have on my team.

Its Coach Dorrell's fault for the high gas prices and economic recession, too!!

Blaming CKD for injuries to the players?? A bit laughable. This is college football, not sweater-knitting or crochet. Look at all the injuries across town. I suppose you are going to blame that on Saint Carroll, too.

Blame the old strength coach, "Doc" Kreiss for injuries if you must blame someone. The new head strength coach, Mike Linn, has done wonders with the players and is said to have already made a huge difference fitness wise and in terms of injury prevention with the players.

Seemed like a fairly innocuous comment by VB, and then he is attacked, over and over. And I thought I was the only one on this blog who gets picked on. Spread the wealth, gentlemen.

You seem to have missed VB's second post where he tries to defend himself. VB's attitude could be seen at the begining of his first post where he said, "pifff". If his real problem is with the training and condition of players the he should also make a comment about the old Strength & Conditioning coach - which he didn't do. Additionally, VB went on to say that being a class act has nothing to do with Football.

VB isn't the only person that's spending tons of money on tickets and donor fees. He's supporting his school financially, why not verbally?

TRUTH, quick point of clarification: you don't get picked on. You're a troll. As such, you routinely drop intentionally inflammatory, anti-UCLA comments in hopes of generating heated responses - which you often receive, thus achieving your objective. Big difference.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
