About Inside UCLA
This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.About this Entry

I cannot freaking wait! I can smell the BBQs at Lot H now. I can hear the band. I can see the majestic Arroyo Seco complimenting the blue EZ-ups and BBQ smoke. I can see Jeff running around with his stupid bell trying to pump up the old fart UCLA fans!

How about a countdown clock or something on the website???
7-weeks!
The Lake is done, the Dodgers are boring, school is out, and we get Kevin Love "news." This is why it is called the dog days (for sports news).
But, heck, a vacation away from sports will only increase the fans' energy level for that great autumn spectacle called the college football playoffs i.e one loss and you probably won't be playing for the national championship. Nothing like it.
