About Inside UCLA
This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.About this Entry

But why? Please don't make me have to go to the SC blog to find out.
to save you some work, here's the link to the SC blog
why?
It may have a lot to do with the fact that at UCLA he'll have some guy nobody ever heard of throwing the ball at him, while at USC he'll have three potential QB's that were ranked #1 in the nation their Sr. year in HS.
He's a safety not a WR
And it depends on what a kid wants out of a football program. Does he want to build a program or does he want to part of one already built?-- Can't go wrong either way, I guess.
'SC blog says he was unimpressed with RN's recruiting of other players.... Looks like he lost faith in the program.
This does not sound good for UCLA recruiting. Wonder what the real reason is.
the real reason is exposure and $$$. Why take risk when you can go to $C which has a built program. Who care about academic reputation & ethic etc as long you can get your $$$ after turning pro.
Hopefully RN and NC can can turn UCLA around and surprise everybody. I can't wait to see Moore regreting for switching school. Or maybe not...
Eric Scott locked up these kids up last year, neuheisel needs to pick up the phone,Ucla's best recruiter is coaching high school football, bruins getting it wrong again.
Who cares? We want players who beleive in themselves and UCLA. I would rather have players who have enough confidence in themselves to think that they could make a team great as opposed to just wanting to play on a team that other people think is great. Who knows USC may not be winning as many games by the time Pollard gets to be a Junior and Senior.
One theory is that his friendship with Morrell Presley and Randall Carroll influenced him to join them at USC.
Finny thing is that both Presley and Carroll were shaky commits and at least Carroll was leaning towards jumping to UCLA.
Moore leaving may have actually cost the program two five-star recruits
