Okay Jill, I see that this post is directed at me. Please show me where I said that players "signed contracts" restricting them to ride ATVs.

Do you expect these kids to live in a bubble? Do the names Big Ben Roethlisberger or Kevin Winslow Jr ring a bell? These were PROFESSIONAL athletes who ruined seasons by ridding motorcycles. Sean was on a family vacation driving his sister and her friends on a paved road with a street legal vehicle (hardly a dangerous activity). Heck...maybe UCLA should build a tunnel from the dorms to spaulding and then to every class room on campus. We wouldnt want our players to sprain an ankle walking to class.

Again with the liberal, "who cares" attitude. Hey pal, I pay thousands of dollars a year for my Rose Bowl season seats, with a donation on top of that. I'm sick of hearing about our bonehead players doing stupid things to jeopardize our season yet again.

And ATVs don't just flip over randomly on a paved road at a normal speed. The dude was probably being and idiot and tried to tailwhip the sucker or something. Get real, guys.

Some of these "disabled" have to drag themselves, limbless, on their stomachs and on a jerry-rigged gourney, across the street from the bus stop, just so they can get to the hospital. And frequently some of these "disabled" vets would stand on nearby street corners just so they can get a few dollars for food.

Please feel free to go tell our vets, who put their life and limbs on the line, how they are scums of the earth for wasting your "precious tax dollars".

I was talking about the lazy white trash and illegals who sit in their apartment all day and collect food stamps for their 9 kids and won't get a job because they are "disabled." Meanwhile, I am working 8+ hours per day to put my own food on my own and table to support my family. Here's my final post about politics: In response to your comments about the GIs, my brother is a United States Marine and would PREFER to serve his country on the front line. Most of our troops would prefer to be working at what they were trained to do as opposed to sitting at Camp Pendleton, wasting away 8 years of service scrubbing the floor. Stop trying to "bring them home" because you think that is what they want. They would all prefer to be overseas. That is why they joined in the first place.

And guess what news channel the troops watch when they are overseas... Fox News...

As for Ben Olson, I hope he can produce this year. The last few years have been ridiculous with his lack of production.

Actually, there are some evidence that the Laffer curve actually kicks at 90%- the marginal tax rate on the top brackets in Scandanavian countries leads to widely accepted tax dodging behavior- as in "company cars" that happened to be a Porsche.

This is not to say that raising the marginal tax rate from 35 to 38 is the same thing, or that face with the 3 trillion dollar national debt courtesey of George W Bush, that it is not the best solution, but as with all things, moderation is the key.
