On the basketball front

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had a workout with the Charlotte Bobcats yesterday and was planning on going to Toronto for a workout with the Raptors.
The Toronto workout had to be canceled and rescheduled because of a facility issue.
He is still undecided about entering the NBA Draft, but looks like he is working out for anybody who is willing to see him.

Because of his length and defensive ability, you've got to wonder whether some of these workout invitations are because Luc is a good match to pair with some other player who they are really interested in seeing. That's why Mata is getting some workouts as well, even though no one seriously thinks he could get drafted. Luc could get drafted, but it also seems like he might be filler invite for the workout in some cases.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
