Rumor mill on Stepheson
Click hereto read an article on Cal's Ryan Anderson, who decided to stay in the NBA draft. There is a paragraph toward the end of the story in which Anderson said he heard Stepheson might go to Cal. UCLA, as you know, is a player in the Stepheson sweepstakes as well.
That would make AS's excuse about staying close to his ailing father a total lie, and possibly jeopardize a chance for a medical transfer without having to sit for a year.

good point. we dont really need him anyway, with Aboya and Keefe staying, and with Gooden and Morgan coming in, we should be deep enough in the 4 and 5, and so far we got 2 more big men committed in 2009
Stephenson can play center and is most likely going to sit out next year. Aboya will be gone in '09. Keefe is best suited at the 4 as are our two '09 recruits...they might even split time at the 3. We are going to need as many bodies as we can get that are capable of playing the 5 spot at a high level.
