Here is the second set of answers:

What is UCLA doing to recruit the DT spot? This is always a tough position to recruit at UCLA, so what is the staff doing in such a down year? Any prospects you can name?Defensive tackle isn't a must get for them this recruiting season because the Bruins still will have Brian Price, Jess Ward and Jerzy Siewierski next season. That said, UCLA is looking at a handful of defensive tackles, but has held off on offering them.

How do I change my user name? I've been commenting anonymously lately because I no longer like the user name I originally chose. I have no idea, but email rgarfat@dailynews.com and he should be able to help you out.

do you think we have a solid chance to land (football verbal commit) Zach Ertz and Brandon Sermons , before the end of summer ? I'm not going to put a timetable on it, but I think UCLA has a shot with both. I keep hearing Ertz is leaning heavily away from Stanford, but nothing yet has happened. As for Sermons, I'm told he has a genuine interest in UCLA.

when an athlete gets injured and requires surgery (Ben Olsen, Cowan, etc.) does UCLA pick up the tab? or is it up to the student and his family to pay for the surgery? It depends on the situation. In most instances, a player is covered under his family's insurance, so UCLA picks up whatever is left. If the player has no insurance, UCLA picks up the total cost.

Lance Stephenson from new york. What are the chances of howland getting this recruit?Very, very small, according to a few sources.

Are you as excited as I am about the return of football season?I absolutely love college football, but I don't know what your level of excitement is, so how do a compare? But, in all honestly, I'm fired up about it, which is why I've been at so many of the seven-on-sevens already.

How did J'mison Morgan get the nickname "Bobo"?I have no idea. Ask again during hoops season and I will get your answer.

what do you think of Billy Packer's retirement? Or, more precisely, are you glad to see him go?I am thrilled to see him go. Now, perhaps I won't have to listen to why the ACC is the great place this side of heaven (oh, billy called and said it was better than heaven) and hopefully I can just sit and watch basketball games.

you noted in the 7x7's that Moutra is now being double covered. Since the Coaches can't be in attendance at these 'voluntary' workouts, who call the plays? The QB's? And who calls the defenses? Who decides that a Moutra would be doubled? The players call the plays, but at most schools (if not all), they talk to the coaches and get a feel for things they may need to work on. But the quarterbacks, in general, are the ones who put everything together. As far as doubling Moutra, it's a simple adjustment made by the defense.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
