Rose Bowl sit-a-thon starts tomorrow
Jim ''Mouth'' Purol begins his quest to sit in every seat at the Rose Bowl beginning at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The event is open to the public. Purol estimates it will take him five days to get through every seat, which he'll do with virtually no breaks. Purol is doing this to break a world record for most seats sat in during a 48-hour period. He's also raising money to for Outward Bound.

This is

who cares... BRING BACK BRIAN DOHN PLEASE!!!!!
Perhaps allowing anonymous commenting wasn't the best idea. Can we get a vote on this? These childish comments have gotten old.
Other than the fact that the Bruins play in the Rose Bowl, what in the world does this have to do with UCLA? Please Jill. Who cares!
I respect the articles being posted, but Brian was excellent about updating the recruiting scene, and we've heard nothing. No feedback was posted regarding our 3-day camp last week. Honestly, I would prefer to read more about possible recruits then those going to the Olympics.
Relax guys. This is basically a dead period in UCLA sports.
There were no commitments that I know of from the basketball camp, which is why I didn't post anything. I don't post updates to say there were no updates. But, I have a bunch of names of guys who attended the camp. I'll post them tomorrow.
Regarding the original topic of this post, "Purol estimates it will take him five days to get through every seat. . . doing this to break a world record for most seats sat in during a 48-hour period." Uhhh, 5 days is much longer than 48 hours. If he's doing this to break the world record, why not stop after 2 days?
All that being said, is there really a record for most seats sat in during a 2 day period? Who thinks of this stuff?
Go Bruins!
p.s. When's the red bar at the top of the page gonna change to BRUIN BLUE?
Regarding recruiting updates... it seems that Lance Stephenson no longer has an offer from UCLA (according to scout.com). What happened?
Is it true that after Mouth breaks the seat record he is going after the world record of most breaths taken during a 48-hour period?
Anything new on Alex Stepheson?
Why do you think Brian chose this time to take a vacation? It's because there's not a lot going on at UCLA with the end of the academic year and some of the coaches taking vacations as well...the fact that the mother of his child is now giving birth (any news on that?) is coincidental...recruiting for both football and hoops will be heating up later this month, and BD will back then...
Jill,
You are doing a great job. Just put the word "football" in your updates even if it is not related. We are like a pack of hungry hyenas this time of year. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for all your great work, Jill.
Oh, and I don't know that Brian necessarily chose this time of year to take a vacation because it's a down time. That is unless he's SUPER dedicated and planned his wife giving birth in the off-season.
