The Walker factor
Marlon Pollard is the second defensive back to de-commit from UCLA in the last week (Byron Moore de-committed and committed to USC). Asked if he was worried defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker might leave for a head coaching gig, Pollard said:
``That was definitely in my mind. He was the person I liked a lot at that school. Coach (Karl) Dorrell left. I just didn't want to choose a college over one person I'd be working with. I respect him to the fullest. I have to make the right decision overall for my whole college. I've been in California my whole life. I don't really like California, to tell you the truth. I've been wanting to get away from California. It's not that I don't like it, but it's time for a change. I've lived here my whole life. I want to travel.''

This is

Uhhhh.... Mmmmkay.....
Pollard says, "I don't really like California, to tell you the truth."
Then he says 5 seconds later, "It's not that I don't like it, but it's time for change."
Notre Dame could keep him. Dude sounds like a complete tool.
"I DON'T LIKE California!!!! But it's not that I don't like it!"
pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
The kid wants to travel, everyone wants to travel, but to South Bend, Indiana? I have been there many times, it is a wonderful college atmosphere, but for a city kid like Pollard he is going to find it boring. He may even start to like California.
And his mother saying everything about ucla was "great" reminds me of a girl telling a guy after a first date, "You are great, you have a great smile, great personality, but I don't want to see you again because you are not my type!"
If Walker leaves, Neuheisel will find someone just as good if not better. Walker is replaceable. Nice job two years ago against USC though.
Good luck Marlon. Your 4.6 40 time is more suited for the athletes of Army and Navy anyways.
Two words: TAYLOR KING...he committed to the Bruins and Ben Howland as 9TH GRADER...a lot happens to kids between the ages of 14-17 so making the decision as to where one spends their college years when you are not even old enough to watch an "R"-rated movie is ludicrous. Anyone want to wager that Kendall Williams, who is only in the 11th Grade at Los Osos HS will renege on his verbal to UCLA?
I hear Eric Scott is avaliable!
Mario Di Leo,
I'll take that wager for a nice cold beer and hot links.
See his most recent interview.

The earliest that young Mr. Williams could sign a NLI would be November 2009...that's 16 months from now. Until that time, he could decide to defer signing with the Bruins until MAY 2010 (!) We have already seen how Alex Stepheson & Family have taken their sweet time to decide where he will be attending classes in the Fall. So, BW, I really like those English Bangers...
so he don't like to live in california so does that mean his mom and dad will move with him to Indiana and if they don't than he shouldn't come to california to visit his family and so why don't you just moving right now to another state if you don't like to live in california moron.
He will love it when the SNOW is FEET DEEP
