Here is a release from UCLA about a deal for tickets to the season opener against Tennessee and the Pepsi 500 NASCAR race. Both are on Labor Day weekend:

The UCLA Athletic Department and the Auto Club Speedway have put together a special offer that includes tickets for both the Pepsi 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, August 31 at Auto Club Speedway, and the UCLA vs. Tennessee football game on Monday, September 1 at the Rose Bowl.
In addition to a reserved ticket to each event, the package includes a guided tour of the Rose Bowl and VIP access to a Q&A Session with veteran NASCAR driver and Tennessee native Sterling Marlin.

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
Sounds like a good deal..........for Tennessee fans. Maybe im wrong, but I dont think NASCAR is all that big in SoCal. Perhaps the 909 area?

I work across the street from the Speedway and every Nascar event is sold out. They draw big numbers every where they go.
NASCAR in So Cal is like ice hockey. Every fan goes to every event. They sell out but no one outside the venue cares.
