Westbrook's salary
Russell Westbrook is guaranteed more than $7 million with his contract with Oklahoma City, and will make more than $16 million if the NBA team picks up the options (usually done with such high picks) in the third and fourth years of his deal.
According to the NBA salary structure, Westbrook is guaranteed $3,493,680 this season, and $3,755,640 next season. The option years are for $4,017,720 and $5,082,415.

Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

It also shows why not waiting can cost you a ton. For Westbrook a sure lottery pick, it worked out great.
Farmar was happy but over his first 4 years he will be making $12 million less then Westbrook. Westbrook in one year 3 makes as much as Farmar makes for playing 4 years. Did he loose a lot of money by coming out early.
