More Lamb

Colony High of Ontario guard (we’re talking hoops, here) Tyler Lamb actually committed to UCLA last week, but the family asked for it to be kept quiet until the other schools could be notified. The family broke the silence about it when I spoke with Lamb’s dad, Terry, a few hours ago.
“Yes, Tyler was offered by UCLA and he committed on the 25th (of August),” Terry said.
Terry Lamb added his son, a class of 2010 recruit, committed now because he always wanted to go to UCLA. Since Bruins coach Ben Howland offered the scholarship earlier this month, Tyler decided to move ahead with his dream school, Terry said.
I will have more on the commitment in Monday’s paper.

“27 points, eight rebounds, 4.8 assists and 5.3 steals per game as a sophomore”

    That is just sick.

  • welcome to westood baby Lamb!

You pulled those stats from which had a 4 game total. Smooth reporting.

Brian, is this commitment binding? Or can other schools still try to recruit him?

  • Brian Dohn

All commitments are non-binding until a letter of intent is signed. For Lamb, he cannot sign until November 2009.

I hope this was a good decision by our coaching staff. I fear that we pulled the trigger too early without having a very good idea on how he will develop. Welcome to Westwood Lamb!!!

    Go Bruins!!!
