Here is the fourth set of answers:

Who has more naturla leadership ability, Craft or Forcier?
Too early to tell. I haven't seen enough from either of them.

What is your opinion of the pure passing skills of Craft and Forcier, in terms of arm strength, accuracy, mechanics/release, ability to throw on run, etc.
I give all the nods to Craft, but Foricer is much more elusive in the open field.

At this point which true freshmen do you think will redshirt?
It is easier to mention the freshman I think will play, so I shall do that -- DBs Rahim Moore, Tony Dye and Aaron Hester, DE Datone Jones, RBs Aundre Dean and Jonathan Franklin and WRs Antwon Moutra, Taylor Embree and Nelson Rosario.

What are the chances that Nate Chandler becomes a starter by midseason if not sooner, in your estimation?
From folks I talk to within the program, a very good chance.

What are the odds that Ben Olson ends up being a 1st round pick under Chow's tutelage once he gets back on the field (be it this year or next)? 10% ? 5%? Possible at all? Or will he never make it back on the field because once he returns from injury the other QBs will have passed him up?
First of all, he is done after this season. There will not be a next season. As far as being a first-round draft pick, I say 0 percent. Even if he were to come back and play well in the month of November, NFL teams would be scared as can be at drafting him because he hasn't come close to making it through a season healthy.

who do you think will round out ucla's basketball recruiting class? Are there any big time players that may surprise us and commit to ucla?
I think Tyler Honeycutt and Anthony Stover finish off the class.

In your opinion, who is the most naturally gifted athlete on the football team?
Freshman cornerback Rahim Moore and defensive tackle Brian Price.

hey Brian, does Favre have any eligibility left?
After he retires, he's going to see if he can get a sixth year of eligibility. Southern Miss will own his rights, but won't want him so he will transfer to a BCS conference school.

From watching practice, does the o-line look better run blocking or pass blocking?
Pass blocking, but not by a lot.

Does Jess Ward project to guard, or do you think he has good enough footwork to play tackle on the o-line?
He told me they want him to play left guard.

I was somewhat surprised to see Chris Forcier had closed the gap between himself and Kevin Craft in the battle for the starting job. I had presumed that Craft would not only possibly challenge Olson for the starting job, but that he would be handed the job if something happened to Olson. Is this a matter of Craft not progressing over the summer as well as hoped? Or did Forcier make huge strides over the summer? Or it is just a matter of Chow and Neuheisel wanting some competition at the spot to push Craft?
This question is way too long. In a nutshell, Craft took some time getting comfortable, and it allowed Forcier to catch up. However, Craft now has a better knowledge of the offense, and the coaching staff is not thrilled about Forcier not putting in the work to learn the offense better. But now Craft is the leader, and it is not very close at this point.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
