No, I don't. I think if things do not go well, it will get written off as the talent being so low, not even Chow could make it work. But remember, USC was not very good offensively during his first season there.

what's the percentage chance that Ben Olson STARTS another game for UCLA?
I'll say 25 percent, but after the third game of the season, that number will go down each week.

Aaron Meyer was quite productive in the lone game he played in, certainly more productive than Robert Chai ever was. So what happened since then?
Meyer played in seven career games, so I'm not sure what game you are talking about. Perhaps Oregon State, when he had his most extensive playing time. That said, he wasn't very good then, and had trouble making the offensive line calls. And if he was better than Chai, he would have played ahead of him at some point, and certainly would have been talked into playing for UCLA this season.

who is faster, T Austin or J Franklin?
Franklin, and I think he would win in Usain Bolt fashion if they lined up and raced.

I will make a concerted effort to edit the posts better. Sometimes, though, in my haste to get the information out as quickly as possible, I drop a work or ...two.

When do you expect preparation for the Southern Cal game to begin? The week leading up to the game, or well before that, since it's the most important conference game?
The week before the game. No team would dare begin preparing for a game when another game is on the schedule before it.

Are there any circumstances under which you would write a book related to UCLA athletics?
I thought about it a little bit, but am unsure of what time frame I would focus on. Also, I would have to talk to my newspaper about it. Why? Any ideas?

What, if any, sanctions to you expect Southern Cal to receive from the NCAA with respect to the OJ Mayo and Reggie Bush scandals?
I expect nothing significant from the Bush situation, and I could see a self-imposed scholarship reduction from the Mayo situation, but I am not close enough to the situation to suggest anything is a given.

Better bet for PAC-10 basketball POY, Collison or Holiday?
Collison. He will have the ball in hands more, be a better defender, and has a reputation already among the rest of the Pac-10 coaches.
