Defensive two-deep

| | Comments (7) |

I received some requests about UCLA's two-deep, but held off until training camp was over and it sorted itself out.
I will post the offense later today, but here is the defensive two-deep.
(Also, check the right side of the blog's main page. We will have links to stories about UCLA's opponents from various news sources, so give it a look.)

First team Second team
DE Tom Blake / David Carter
DT Brigham Harwell / Chase Moline
DT Brian Price / Jerzy Siewierski
DE Korey Bosworth / Datone Jones
WLB Kyle Bosworth / John Hale
MLB Reggie Carter / Steve Sloan
SLB John Hale / Akeem Ayers
CB Michael Norris / Courtney Viney
CB Alterraun Verner / Rahim Moore
SS Rahim Moore / Bret Lockett*
FS Aaron Ware / Glenn Love

*Lockett is suspended for the first game, but could start after that. Moore is also UCLA's nickel back, used when the Bruins employ five defensive backs.

Very useful. Thanks for the info. Now I can update my rosters on NCAA 09. I was tired of having Cowan at QB.

Bro, you could have updated the QB position months ago. Cowan went down during spring ball.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
