Hale vs. Ayers
There were no defensive changes to the starting lineup coming out of the scrimmage, but an ongoing battle continues to be senior John Hale vs. red-shirt freshman Akeem Ayers at strong side linebacker.
UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker said it is a tight competition, but at this point Hale's holding on to the spot.
