Line improvement

Here is the UCLA notebook I wrote in today's paper, with much of it focused on the offensive line.
Another thing Bruins offensive coordinator Norm Chow and offensive line coach Bob Palcic told me is they are pleased with the development of the line through the first week of training camp.
"We're better than we were when we finished in the spring,'' Palcic said. "We're better run blockers. We're better (pass) protectors. We have a better understanding of the offense."

Well what else is the coach going to say? "Our OL has gotten worse since the spring. We now have no ability run and pass block. None of our guys understand the offense at all."
