Morning, folks

Hey, everyone. I'm back at it today, but wanted to make sure everyone saw Jill Painter's story on Kevin Craft being named the starter at quarterback.
When it comes down to it, the reason coach Rick Neuheisel and offensive coordinator Norm Chow went with Craft is he knows the offense better. Neuheisel has been adamant about backup Chris Forcier needing to have better knowledge of the offense, and needing to spend more prep time before practice, which is something I wrote about in Monday's paper.
Also, Jill wrote about the offensive line shuffling in today's paper. It remains an area of concern, and that UCLA is still trying to find the right combination, even after naming a starting quarterback, suggest so.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
