Olympic stabbing

In case anyone didn't hear, there was a stabbing death of an American at the Olympics in China. The victim, Todd Bachman, is the father of former UCLA All-American and 2004 Olympian Wiz (Elisabeth) Bachman.

Just a very sad situation. The Chinese "authorities" are calling it a random act of violence but just how would that explain the killer committing suicide right after the stabbings? My heart goes out to the family.
