On the running game

UCLA's offensive line had trouble opening holes for the running backs, and offensive coordinator Norm Chow said the pass protection was not what it needs to be.
But in terms of the running game, the offense tried 14 runs against the first- and second-team defense, and seven either didn't gain a yard or lost yardage. And the longest run was seven yards.
Part of it is because UCLA's first-team defensive line is very good, but the second-team offense didn't run the ball against the second-team defense, either.
