Post practice goodies
Lots of doings with practice today, including Kevin Prince taking some reps with the second unit. Sorry for the teaser, but I will have more on that in Saturday's paper, and it is quite interesting.
DT Brigham Harwell sat out today with back spasms, and likely will not practice Saturday.
Also, offensive line coach Bob Palcic went with a bundle of different combinations with the first unit, the most intriguing (and likely for the opener) being RT Nick Ekbatani, RG Darius Savage, C Micah Reed, LG Scott Glicksberg and LT Micah Kia or Brandon Bennett. Kia will have his left hand x-rayed again early next week and UCLA is hopeful he can play against Tennessee.
Quarterback Kevin Craft did not have a particularly sharp day, getting criticism from coach Rick Neuheisel for taking a step back after throwing interceptions on three straight plays. "This was not a good day for Kevin,'' Neuheisel said.
However, offensive coordinator Norm Chow said it wasn't a big issue since the throws came on plays down the field, or "touchdown plays,'' as Chow called them.
And Neuheisel also wasn't thrilled with the tempo of practice, saying his team has to understand how to maintain its focus and intensity when not practicing in full pads.

why did Neuheisel have them in shorts? its only natural for 18-21 year old kids to read this to mean, its a light day.
lets go Rick, this isn't the NFL!
