Post-practice report

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was excited about the amount of work getting done in camp and said the offensive line was progressing. However, right guard Scott Glicksberg checked out halfway through practice because he was still feeling ill.
I spoke to offensive coordinator Norm Chow about the play of the quarterbacks, and he said he was happy with how Ben Olson was peforming, although Neuheisel did say Olson needed to get his feet and mind in sync so he would be more accurate with his throws.
Freshman receiver Nelson Rosario made a splendid one-handed catch against Tony Dye for a touchdown, but the defense performed well.
Sonny Tevaga continued to take the reps with the first team with Glicksberg out, and had mixed results.

On the recruiting front, Diamond Ranch of Pomona cornerback Brandon Sermons took in practice, and Lake City of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, tight end Billy Sanders watched for a second day. He also got a tour of the school. Sanders is committed to Miami.
