UCLA and Snaer

| | Comments (2) |

UCLA remains involved with Rancho Verde of Moreno Valley basketball guard Michael Snaer after both sides had a cooling off period in July. After talking to a few sources on the matter, the consensus was many schools believed Snaer was a secret commit to Missouri.
However, it turned out not to be the case, so other schools are again in the mix for Snaer. That said, I'm hearing UCLA is not tops on Snaer's list at this point, but that could change.

Brian, do u think Snaer is a better shooter than Bradley?? I think we need to roll out the red carpet to the better pure shooter of the two.

Snaer would be the perfect player for this class alongside Honeycutt. There will be 40 minutes to share at the 3 and likely another 25 at the 2 when Holiday goes pro. And that's if and only if both Lee and Anderson pan out.

I can't think of a bette situation where a freshman would get more PT at such a high-caliber basketball school.

Honeycutt should be a no-brainer and a 2 needs to see the minutes he could be playing. Snaer would be my first choice because of his potential to play the 3 and the 2.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
