Here’s a new feature this season. Here is my report card, and your chance to vote on the grades:
Quarterbacks
Grade: C
Kevin’s Craft-y comeback remarkable after four first-half picks.
Running backs
Grade: C
No where to run, but at least they picked up Vols’ now and again blitz.
Receivers
Grade: A
And folks wondered if Taylor Embree (4 catches) got scholarship because dad knows Karl Dorrell?
Offensive line
Grade: C
Pass protection was an A, run blocking (31 carries, 29 yards) was an F.
Defensive line
Grade: B
Boy, that Brian Price can play. And the rest weren’t too shabby, either.
Linebackers
Grade: B
A few blown assignments on the outside, but Reggie Carter’s debut in the middle a success.
Defensive backs
Grade: B
Given three-fourths were new starters, a rousing evening.
Special teams
Grade: A
Having a coach exclusively for special teams paid off already.
Coaching
Grade: A
OC Norm Chow and DC DeWayne Walker lived up to billing, and CEO Neuheisel oversaw it all.
