Against the plan

UCLA players and coaches bemoaned the lack of offense and the number of turnovers (four) in the loss to BYU, and UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel reiterated the Bruins’ need to play sound football to have a chance to win games.
“Our game is always going to be the same; we’re going to have to stay on the field, keep our defense off of it,” Neuheisel said. “We could not do that. We left our defense out there far too long, and BYU was methodical.”
