Better days ahead?

UCLA lost 36-31 to Fresno State, but it didn’t keep Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel from grabbing the microphone and addressing the crowd afterward.
“We’re going to keep fighting,” Neuheisel said. “We’re going to come back next week and get you a win. I promise you we’re getting better.”
Of course, Neuheisel knows UCLA hosts Washington State next week, and the Cougars are not a very good team.
After losing at home to Oregon today by a 63-14 score, the Cougars are 1-4, including 0-2 in the Pac-10. They have been outscored 129-17 by Oregon and Cal, and 213-47 against Division I-A (or whatever it’s now called) teams. Their only win was against Portland State.

I’m very proud of our kids. We’ve got a running game and a reliable short passing game now. Doesn’t sound like much but a ship load more than we had last wk. For the first time all season I’m starting to beleive. We will pull out a win next wk and crb and chow will right this ship going into the latter half.

Better days ahead? After watching Stanford crush UW, I would says at least a couple of better days are ahead.

this same Fresno St. defense, playing on Saturday without its two starting defensive tackles, gave up nearly 600 yards of total offense to 1-3 Toledo….

What happens if Washington State wins?

Don’t think you “found your running game” just yet. Everybody can run on Fresno right now.

The defense was supposed to be the strong suit of this ucla team but they let Fresno run out the last 9 minutes. Fresno even took pity on the ucla players by not scoring at the end. You’re not as close as you think.

This team is set up for an end of the season collapse ala Dorrell.
