Here is the third grouping:
just what exactly IS a high ankle sprain, as used in CFB? Is it basically just a brokern bone in the lower leg?
It is not a broken bone, it the damage of either cartilage or ligaments above the ankle. In many cases, it is worse than a break.
If you were Neuheisel, would you have pulled Craft after the four interceptions?
No, because I've seen how the other quarterbacks performed in practice.
Did I see correctly - on kickoff coverage, was the cover team tuaght to go to the Tennessee 20 and then just stop and wait - and if that's so, what's the theory behind that?
That is not what I see at practice.
Can you give us some info on Matt Vogrich other than he has an offer and can supposedly shoot the lights out?
He is supposed to be very good shooter, who can also handle the ball, and if need be, put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket, although not to the level of Darren Collison or Russell Westbrook. Also, a good athlete.
Did any of the reserve offensive lineman see any playing time in the Tenn. game?
Brandon Bennett, Nate Chandler and Darius Savage were all listed on the participation chart, but not sure which were only on special teams.
have we changed our kick coverage technique? It appears that we are in a prevent mode rather than attack mode.
Changed from when? It's a new coaching staff, and special teams coach Frank Gansz Jr. wants his guys to remain true to their assignments. The idea isn't to sit back and wait, but be aggressive and make a tackle.
do you see us having trouble with bigger receivers, considering that we are using Norris and Viney?
I think UCLA is susceptible to it, but there are ways around it. Jump balls are a problem, but defensive backs are taught to strip the football from receivers if they have size matchup problems. But I don't think college coordinators take advantage of size matchups enough.
Do you think Darius Savage will be starting by the end of the season?
If there are injuries, yes. If there are no injuries, probably.
Which is the better cartoon mouse: Mickey Mouse, Jerry from Tom & Jerry, or Itchy from the Simpsons?
For anyone that knows me, this isn't even a question worth answering. It's a no-brainer.
Do you think Reggie Carter's partially torn ligament will fully heal by the next game? When do you think he returns to practice?
I have no idea if it will totally heal. UCLA says it is a mild injury, but I haven't talk to the doctors, so I don't know. But I think he will be back at practice next week.
Is Mike Harris likely to be ready to play by the BYU game?
I think so. He has been practicing lately, and running with the second offensive line.
