Answers, Part XIX
Wow. Finally to the end of the line for this week. Hope everyone made it through, and that the information was helpful. Here is the final set of answers:
Was it just me or did it look like Raymond Carter was running with a slight limp in the UT game?
He's been running that way all through training camp. I was told by several folks it is because of the bulky brace he is wearing on his knee, and nothing else.
Hypothetically, if Olson were healthy and playing like you saw him prior to his latest injury, would you start him or Craft against BYU?
I would start Craft, because he's gone through all practices and is coming off a tremendous second half against Tennessee. He also has better mobility, which is key with UCLA's offensive line.
I leave for NJ for a week of work tomorrow (yippee). I'm thinking of catching the Rutgers-NC game. What do you want me to yell at Schiano - words of encouragement or otherwise?
Words of encouragement. Before the guy took over, Rutgers went to one bowl and started playing football in 1869. He's been to three straight bowl games, won two, and is selling out the place.
Do you have carpal tunnel yet from answering all these questions?
Just about. I need to get an assistant and I can just dictate all the answers.
being televised nationally on espn, the national response to the ucla win was incredible. do u think it wouldve been the same if the game had been televised nationally on fox? do we need more espn coverage??
I do not think it would have the same impact because ESPN likes to promote itself as much, or more, than the event it is broadcasting. Case in point: how much arena league highlights did you see before ESPN grabbed the broadcast rights? And yes, the Pac-10 needs a better relationship with ESPN, and more coverage.
what special factors hit u about the game that made it special,
UCLA won a game it should not have won, and for the first time in a long time the coaching matchup was slanted heavily in UCLA's favor.

Yo, Brian. Your a beast man! That was a lot of questions, thanks for the hard work.
Brian. Have you thought about a co-UCLA/Rutgers blog for all the interest there is here for the Scarlet Knights? Seems like you get at least few questions or requests a week. Looks like Bruin fans are really interested in Big East football. Maybe a poll is in order.
considering that he does not cover a rutgers beat i dont think he'll warm to the co-blog. plus he only gets asked questions because of his bio in the corner, and they are either mostly jeers, how do you feel about your alma mater, or hypothetical rutgers situation questions as opposed to 'interested in big east football' questions. i'm sure if his bio said the same thing about, say, troy or tulsa the same would be asked about those schools.
Awesome amount of Q&A, thanks for staying with it.
Is it possible that Fan had his tongue firmly in cheek when he typed that? Certainly the part about a poll...I like it!
Thanks Brian, strong set of answers.
