Answers, Part XVIII
Here is the 18th set:
Will there be changes made in the future to insure that some easier out of conference teams are scheduled?
Changes may happen, but the schedules are booked years and years in advance, so to change anything over the next few years will mean a broken contract.
Does Dan Guerrero recognize that there are problems inherent in making the schedule so difficult, or is he only concerned with arranging an attractive schedule which potentially maximizes attendance and revenues?
Revenues are the most important thing, so I don't see it changing that much.
What do you think the score will be for the Arizona game? What are the keys to the game for UCLA on offense and defense?
UCLA, 17-16. UCLA must hit Arizona quarterback Willie Tuitama early and get him rattled, and close the running lanes on change of pace plays. Offensively, UCLA has to hold onto the ball, and find a way to run the ball at least marginally to take pressure off the passing game.

When an out of state recruit visits either UCLA or USC, does the other school try and recruit them while they're in town or is it against NCAA regulations?
How would they recruit them? They cannot go to the other campus and talk to the kid. They can call the kid on a cell phone, but that is in poor taste, and could backfire mightily.
Do you think with UCLA's academic standards that UCLA can consistently be a top-25 team?
Yes, but not a top 15 team.
Is there any reason why the coaches do not create specific packages for certain players (i.e., using Forcier similar to Pryor/Tebow, using certain RBs for certain packages where they could easily identify their blocking assignments, etc.)? I realize that Forcier isn't nearly as talented as Pryor/Tebow, but don't you think it would help throw off the defense?
No, because Forcier is too small to be able to handle such a role. Plus, he is not accurate enough, and doesn't grasp the offense well enough.
who do you thinks a better player J'mison Morgan or center daniel orton from Oklahoma of the 2009 recruiting class?
I have no idea.
Much is said about the 2008 recruits, but Dorrell/Walker/Scott also had a good 2007 class (Price, Carter, etc). The class wasn't graded highly by recruiting websites because there were not many available slots. Any thoughts on the impact of the 2007 class past/present/future?
What Carter are you talking about? Reggie Carter is a fourth-year junior and Brian Price is a true sophomore.

i think he means brian price and raymond carter as they were both in that class of 07, i believe.
Thanks, StillHates, you're right, I thought my question was clear enough, but I guess with so many questions, Brian's eyes can get a little tired after awhile. I'll try again next week.
Here is the 2007 class:
Raymond Carter
Brian Price
Steve Sloan
Courtney Viney
Akeem Ayers
Chris Forcier
Nate Chandler
Mike Harris
Justin Edison
Glenn Love
And it's my understanding Taylor Embree counts against this class. Mike Schmitt might as well, but I don't know if he is on scholarship.

will norm ever go outside of his box and use Osaar in packages to get him on the field? most "great" coaches lean toward the players skill...from what i've seen of OR, he seems to be an outstanding athlete that we can't afford to have on the sideline for any reason.
