Answers, Part XX
If anything else happens tonight, I will post it. Also, I will have at least one set of answers tomorrow morning, as well as some pregame stuff. Also, check back during and after the game for info. Thanks for all the questions this week, and now onto the final set of answers for today:
Do you still think UCLA beats Fresno St.?
Yes, I do. I am judging it based on what I saw from UCLA in training camp, against Tennessee and knowing the game is at home.
Given the dire situation on the OL, are we going to step up our recruitment of JC players in this area?
UCLA is looking, and looking hard, but there just aren't many guys available. And if the players are available, can they get into UCLA? It is not an easy mix.
Do you think frustration with the talent level could cause Norm Chow to leave sooner than he might otherwise?
No, because Chow is secure in what he does, and I'm sure he know better days are ahead. Everyone on staff knew it was going to be a rebuilding situation. Plus, he digs the fact he can finish watching film and go home and have dinner with his family.
What type of OL does Palcic want to bring in? What does he value? Wisconsin's current OL is massive.
He wants big, tough, strong, athletic linemen. It's no secret. That is what everyone wants. Whether he can get enough of them is another matter.
any chance kyle bosworth redshirts?
Not unless he re-injures the knee, or suffers another injury, while trying to come back. Once a player plays in a game, he can only red-shirt if he suffers a season-ending injury. And being out three to four weeks is in September is not a season-ending injury.
are the coaches high on s. sloan?
Yes, they are. They know he is not the most athletic person in the world, but they like his smarts, and his ability to put the defense in the right situation.
is RN really dumb enough to hire K. Norton as DC if walker leaves??
Dumb isn't the word I would use, but from what I hear, he would look into it.
Billy Sanders, the TE from Idaho committed to Miami has been hanging around UCLA alot apparently. Can we assume we have a good chance with him?
I think UCLA has a very good chance with him. I believe you are correct. A kid doesn't travel from Idaho to Westwood as much as he has without having a real interest. Plus, offensive coordinator Norm Chow knows how to use a tight end in the passing game.
