Expected FSU attendance

| | Comments (7) |

I'm told from UCLA officials that 70,000-75,000 is expected for Saturday's game against Fresno State, but coach Pat Hill's belief 20,000 Fresno State fans will be there is news to them.
Instead, UCLA officials said Fresno State sold 9,700 tickets, and a few thousand more Fresno State fans could find their way inside the stadium.

Yes, the boasts of 20,000 fans is a joke. They had around 10,000 at the Coliseum a couple of years back.

Keep in mind there are certainly more tickets avaliable to UCLA home games than there are to SC home games. I don't doubt that there may be 20,000 cental valley folk there on Sat.

Did we already take into account that it is probably bando day? We had cheerleader day last weekend. This weekend must be bando day. Or is it, "I'm a convict going to college and wearing a USC jersey to a UCLA game" day?

20,000 Fresno State fans?
Who will milk the cows and feed the chickens?

yeah, 75,000 fans huh...just like there were going to be 60,000 fans last weekend hahahaha! That place was empty last weekend despite the $10 tickets! Isn't the point of Monopoly to get as much money as possible and control the area? Yeah, the monopoly is definitely over....there!

The announced attendance for the Arizona game was over 65K. That's based on tickets sold. If UCLA has sold over 70K tickets for the Fresno game, they should know if it will come close to 75K tickets.

How many actually show up? That's another issue. I know I'll be there for the whole game. Come early, stay late.

Go Bruins!

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
