Fireworks display

UCLA had a fireworks show after the game. A UCLA spokesman said it the fireworks were in tribute to Labor Day. I asked if the fireworks show still would've gone off if the Bruins lost, and the spokesman said yes.

They should have saved the fireworks display for another game, because the true fireworks were in the game itself. One to remember and one I am glad I decided to watch.

And I will be the first to eat crow. I did not see it coming, and still am having some difficulty fathoming how ucla pulled it off. But it is hard not to be happy for that gutsy Kevin Craft and a very game defense.

But contrary to popular thinking, it is good for Los Angeles to have two good football teams, it will make each school that much better with the increased competition. Not to mention the enhanced entertainment value!

Finally, some of us our west coast football guys, and not just loyal to our respective school, and that was a pretty good spanking USC, Fresno State and your team put on the other side of the country.

Jill,

Maybe you should pay attention. It was common knowledge that there'd be fireworks after the game.

Jill, I know you mean well, but half your posts are ones that 99% of readers don't care about.

i dont know why they are so mean.

Amazing, Dohn hasn't posted ONE POST since our victory. Dude must be sleeping in.

I wouldn't be too hard on Dohn though. Even though he picked us to lose, he did pick a close game. I just don't think our O-line is as bad as he said it was. Sure, they didn't open any holes for the running game, but they held their own on pass blocking. Craft wasn't sack once.

Eating crow can sometimes taste great! I'm the moron who predicted 35-7 UT here yesterday. After 8 hours at the Rose Bowl I witnessed a great game and am looking forward to watching the recording I made.

For night games, having fireworks go off after every UCLA touchdown would be pretty cool.
