Moral support
Although QB Ben Olson (foot) and RB Kahlil Bell (ankle) won't play against BYU, both are making the trip to help on the leadership front.
For Olson, it is also a return to BYU, where he spent a semester before going on a two-year church mission and then transferring to UCLA.
"Man, I really wish I could play in this game," Olson told me recently.

Man, I am REALLY glad he is not playing in this game.
LOL LOL LOL. Agreed, PB.
Ben Olsen. pfff...
Thank you BYU fans for the comments! Olsen at least has a win over BYU under his belt...I think that is the reason for the joy from BYU fans that he is not playing.

I am no BYU fan. I am a Bruin...through and through. However, I believe that BO has had more than his share of chances only to get injured again and again. Bruins shouldnt be sitting around hoping that his next chance will be the one that finally pays off. He is the poster boy for the CKD era...nice guy...just can't get the job done. The past is the past...and he is the past.
The simple fact is that BO is brittle and runs to see the trainer if someone sneezes in his direction. It's unfortunate, but I don't think he will ever see another snap (College or NFL). The guy is done. He has a low pain tolerance or poor nutrition or something??? There is no way he should be allowed to do anything except back-up Cowan as the Student Assistant / QB Coach (and in that role, they should limit his influence as he has proven very little, except his ability to end up on the trainers table).
Just my opinion...but Ben "Pass the Mydol" Olson should just hang up the cleats and step aside for the good of the team, the future of the program and the sanity of the fan base.

I agree Ben Olson is likely done for his college career, but I am willing to bet the proverbial farm that Ben will be on an NFL training camp roster, and at least a practice squad next year. The NFL loves potential, and THAT is Ben's poster, the one with the dreaded, "P," word.
Reading the above merciless comments regarding a very nice human being, I only have this to say:
Typical BRUIN CLASS without the 'CL.'
ONLYTHETRUTH,
You sound like a little sissy. This is football. Being a nice human being doesn't win games. We didn't say anything bad about him.
