More Neuheisel

I was told by UCLA spokesman Marc Dellins that coach Rick Neuheisel was dealing with a personal matter during his normal time slot, which is why he was not on the conference call at that time.
Then, there was a miscommunication between UCLA and the Pacific-10 about Neuheisel taking the last slot on the conference call. Basically, Neuheisel was in his office waiting for the conference operator to call him, and the conference operator thought Neuheisel was going to call in.

Maybe you should hold off on reporting some of your snippy little bits there Bryan. Sometimes it can bite you and make you look like, well, you know, once the actual facts come out. Hopefully that will never happen to you, as I am sure you are at the top of your game at all times.

You know you are too famous when a meeting is aborted and half of L.A. wants to know where you were.

Anonymity-- how sweet you are.

Brian,

Good enough for me.

But, I suppose, not good enough for some who will still harp on this issue.

I would cut the guy some slack. If it is a recurring issue, then it may be problematic. But coming off that A-whooping in Provo, I'd allow him this one indulgence.

Gee, OH Really, I thought BD DID report the facts. And then, when he obtained more facts, he reported those. He didn't report DIFFERENT facts, just ADDITIONAL facts.

BD, you MUST get frustrated with some of these guys!

Dang,

I used to use that excuse with my old boss...

Trying to sound sober: Wait - you told ME to call into the meeting at 10AM? I thought you were going to call me...

Pac-10, I'll make you a deal. You get better, more competent referees and we'll have our coach put your weekly conference call at the top of his priorities. :P

Folks, it is a conference call open to all members of the media across the nation. It also happens to be the only chance most of the media members across the nation have to ask Neuheisel a question during the week.
I never said Neuheisel was doing something malicious by avoiding the call. Quite the contrary. I don't think Neuheisel would dodge the media.
But, again, for those who do not know him or deal with him daily, the perception could be something different. A few colleagues called me to ask if Neuheisel was ducking out after a 59-0 loss.
And, for anyone saying the facts were wrong, please show one fact of either post that was inaccurate.

BD -

UB already clarified above on your behalf. Unfortunately, some of these clowns are too dense to follow a logical statement such as yours or UB's above.

Don't sweat it Brian, the UBTA have your back. We'll try to pull on some shoulders and see if we can dislodge the craniums from the rectums.

even if neu was ducking out for this week, who cares? it has no bearing on how i feel about him as a coach. i would actually tell him, hey man duck it out this week bro lol

BD, I notice no one talking about Osaar Rasshan at all. Is the coaching staff willing to play a froshman over him because they want him to change positions? Do you think they are willing to risk the season like this? From what i saw of him in H.S. and last year, he seems to just need the coaching from a guy like Chow to make him the mobile qb we need with the dilapidated line we have. Your thoughts?

C'mon Brian,

Now that sounds like a major suck out. Setting us up like that and then giving yourself a sorry out like that. You were totally leading us. Just so you know Brian, the facts are that RN did every possible interview after the game, including the Gauntlet on a Live night show. Those are the facts. Therefore, does that sound like somebody trying to duck reporters, especially non local ones, for fear of tough questions? Please. Your response to any of your speculating colleagues should have been "Hey, I deal with RN on a daily basis and I have never known him to duck anything." Period. By not vouching and setting the record straight and then reporting on said speculation, you only further promulgate the issue. Nice job making an issue out of a NON issue.

Sp if he wasn't ducking out then we're back to a coaching staff that doesn't know what's going on..great..
