Neuheisel on QB situation
I asked UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel tonight about the quarterback situation, and whether Kevin Craft will remain the starter, or if the coaching staff would look in another direction.
"If we think that there's another way to go that gives us a better chance to win, then we'll do that, Neuheisel said. "Until that, we're going to keep putting our faith in Kevin.''
By the way, he said Craft remains the guy at quarterback.

Umm...Osaar Rashan?
I see ole "Anonymous" is still at it - get a life, buddy. As to CRN's comments, sounds like a recognition - admission? - that Ben Olson's experience would give the team a better chance, but continuing hope that Kevin can grow into the job and get it done - if he can just get a bit of protection. But with a young and patchwork OLine, opponents are going to continue to throw blitzes at us, designed to overwhelm the OLine, and until we can pull off some quick plays that make them pay for committing so many guys to rushing the passer, no QB is going to get much time. (And, of course, getting off the quick short pass with accuracy has been Ben's weakness as well.) Gonna be a long year in which the triumphs will have a lot more to do with developing and teaching the youngsters than positive results on the scoreboard....
If all you have is ground beef and fish sticks in the freezer, don't expect surf and turf.
With all of the experience that Norm Chow has running an offense, I truly believe the staff is putting the players on the field they think will give us the best opportunity for success.
