Northern Exposure

UCLA linebacker Reggie Carter made 20 tackles, and said even though the Bruins were getting pounded, he made sure to tell his teammates it was important to keep playing hard until the end.
"Even though we were losing this game, I told them I was going to fight until that clock," Carter said. "You might as well kill me on this field because I'm going to go until it's over. Nobody gave up. They just out-played us. They schemed us, they took advantage of our weaknesses and they exposed us."

great comments from Carter. That's what I saw and since this is obviously just an initial season to START building a program, on the 08 recruiting class, this is exactly the attitude we need to see. With some weakness among future opponents, we can win some games this season and I'm pulling for us to do just that, but learning how to play, especially on offense, and the youngsters growing in their roles for the future is the most important thing going on in Ucla football right now in my opinion (that along with recruiting, especially linemen both O and D of course)
