Post-practice Tuesday
UCLA returned to practice, and the only change among the starters was true freshman Jeff Baca playing left tackle. And junior Micah Kia, who said he had a back injury, ran with the second team.
Quarterback Kevin Craft took the first team reps, and the mantra continues to be that he has all the knowledge in his head, but needs to slow down on the field. That was, again, the message from offensive coordinator Norm Chow and coach Rick Neuheisel.
Running back Kahlil Bell practiced, and afterward admitted his ankle was sore, but he is still expected to play.
Tight end Cory Harkey (ankle) had his left foot in a walking boot, but Neuheisel labeled him day-to-day.
Center Micah Reed (knee) and receiver Marcus Everett (toe) went through individual drills, but are not expected to play against Fresno State.

What about Raymond Carter's knee? He didn't get any carries last week, and I'm assuming that's because of his knee?? Is he going to play this week??
MARK MY WORDS: Bell will run one or two plays this week, and will end up being out for another 3 to 4 games. MARK MY WORDS.
VB,
Don't let him hear you say that. Otherwise he'll take a swipe at you like he did to Derrick Coleman at practice today...
Brian,
Do you have any injury updates on Dean and Carter??
Are you kidding me? He took a swing at him? For what? I never liked Bell. He has always been a punk.
Brian, did you see this?
You may be right, VB. Bell may be done before the end of the first quarter.
Dohn reported the altercation between Bell and Coleman, which CRN attributed to 'competitive juices flowing.' Hopefully, it will flow like the waters of Niagra on Saturday.
Brian, is there any truth to the fight rumor? Why would two running backs get into it?
Don't bother. Dohn is probably going to say,
"I'm not at liberty to talk about the altercation unless given written consent by Coach Neuheisel, the players, Dan Guerrero, John Wooden and President Bush."
Bell has never done anything like this, especially to me. That is why he shouldn't have been suspended at the end of the 2006 season...
