Recruiting day

| | Comments (7) |

With UCLA having a bye this weekend, the coaching staff will use one of its in-season alloted recruiting days to go watch high school games Friday. I should have a list of some of the games they will be at later this week.
On a side note, I know some folks asked what the recruits who were at Monday's game were saying about it. To be honest, I usually don't make it a point to call kids who were at the game just to get their reaction because the answer is always the same -- great time, loved the atmosphere, it was exciting, yes, I'm considering UCLA.

UCLA is practicing today, Thursday and Friday. Today it is in the afternoon, and the next two days in the morning. The Bruins will get the weekend off before returning to the practice field Monday.

Sorry for all the questions, but do they begin BYU prep this week too? Or is it just basic practicing?

Also, anything new on the injury front?

The last injury updates I provided where from 14 hours ago. I haven't heard of anything changing since then. And, yes, they they will begin BYU prep this week.

Brian, I heard a couple of recruits talking after the game and I recall them saying they had a great time, very exciting, and they loved the atmosphere. Oh, and they were definitely considering UCLA.

Brian,

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
