Snaer visit
From what I'm hearing, Rancho Verde of Moreno Valley hoopster Michael Snaer, a guard, will visit UCLA this weekend and go to Kansas the weekend of Oct. 17 before making a decision.

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
According to Brian, we have no shot at landing him. Guess he's coming to see the marqeuee football game of the year at the Rose Bowl. That alone should steer him to Marquette or Florida State.
Perhaps if he were a football player then there might be something to your theory...
I mean, there would be something fishy about a basketball player that cared enough about his school's success on the football field to the extent that he would play hoops for a program like FSU or Marquette instead of one like UCLA just b/c of the football team...

OR maybe his point was the fact that mr. snaer is also considering florida state and marquette. and MAYBE you should have considered the fact that marquette does not even field a varsity football team. and PERHAPS the point bruin nc was trying to make was that if he is attending this game then there might not be too much to excite him about our school.

Nope, I'm pretty sure he was primarily concerned with throwing a little jab at the UCLA football team. Time to work on your reading comprehension skills.
To each their own though. The head of the football team tells us to be relentlessly positive. Get behind Slick Rick or jump ship...
And Michael Fey is ancient history- go ahead and try to get over that too...

The points of my original post were:
(1) He's coming for an official, and the highlight of the weekend will be watching a 1-4 and 1-3 team battle at the RB...not exactly Missouri/OU.
(2) Dohn has been wrong in the past on commits, and claims his sources don't have a good feeling...so why get worked up?
Fair enough. I think point one qualifies as a "little jab" at the UCLA football team.
